ABOUT ME
I got my first job at age 17, working through 3 graduate degrees. I was underpaid and overworked until I learned how to articulate my value to an organization and how to negotiate for the kind of professional life I wanted! Over the years, I ended up bidding, winning, and running successful global health projects worth over $1 Billion+. When I retired, I was one of the highest-paid Project Directors in the USAID system.
Here's the Official Stuff...
I’ve also worked in the Middle East, Africa (where I lived), and Asia (where I lived) doing research plus implementing performance improvement and training programs through the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Social/Behavior Change Campaigns through Johns Hopkins’ Center for Communication Programs. I spend a decade inside USAID’s Global Health Bureau directing their various global health fellowship programs, professional and organizational development plus helping to build the next generation of global health professionals.

I am board-certified as both a coach and counselor, with a Ph.D. in Counseling and Organizational Consulting. I’m a published researcher, author, and contributor to several books on global health employment trends and competencies needed for the next generation of global health professionals. My book on global health careers was published by JHU Press in 2025.
